2 items extracted from ADM 1/5323. Cape Verde Islands: Praia. Plans, (1) the original and (2) a copy, drawn by T Wareham, showing the positions of ships at anchor on the morning of 16 April 1781. The coastline, hills, trees, beaches and soundings are also shown. (2) includes more ships and fewer soundings. Scales: 1 inch to 227 yards. Compass indicators. Both were produced as evidence in a court martial hearing brought against Capt Evelyn Sutton, HMS Isis, held aboard HMS Princess Royal, Portsmouth Harbour, 11 December 1783.
