5 items (accompanying a report of October 1907 by Colonel C V Hume) extracted from WO 33/2733. Japan: Shizuoka. Five sheets, numbered as plates I-V, of maps, plans and sections illustrating a Japanese military exercise near Gotemba 28 April-24 May 1907: (1) map showing the position occupied by the western army; (2) plan of trench works at Kitsunedzuka and Hirayama; (3) plan and sections of trench works at Kitsunedzuka; (4) map showing trenches at Rakudayama; and (5) sections of types of trenches and shelters. Reference tables. Scales: (1) 1:20000; (2) 1:5000; (3) 1:500; (4) plan 1:500, sections 1:100; (5) 1:100. Compass indicators on (1)-(4). A photograph remains in WO 33/2733. Sheet sizes between 28.5 cm x 37 cm and 54 cm x 34.5 cm.
