West Africa: Gold Coast (now Ghana). 2 copies of a sketch map of the Krachi district showing an area set aside for a proposed wildlife preservation reserve; also showing the River Volta and its tributaries, villages, a proposed road, the limit of dense forest and the boundary with the German Togoland Protectorate. Compass indicators. MS additions, in pencil, to item 2, marking a portion of the map for future consideration. Originally accompanying a memorandum concerning the proposed wildlife reserve, which was enclosed in despatch number 264 from Acting Governor Major H Bryan, Accra, to Alfred Lyttleton, Secretary of State, Colonial Office, 3 June 1905; subsequently placed in Colonial Office file 21825: 'Gold Coast. Wild Animals, Birds and Fish Preservn.', 24 June 1905.
