1 item (originally enclosed in despatch number 68 from Sir Walter Sendall, High Commissioner, Government House, Cyprus, to Joseph Chamberlain, MP, 27 March 1896) extracted from CO 67/98. 'Cyprus, Prison at Nicosia': plan of the prison layout, showing cells, walls, the warden's quarters, the hospital, kitchens, workshops etc, and a short-sentence block. Key to colouring. Scale: 1 inch to 40 feet. Inset: cross-section of the short-sentence block, showing walls, gates and dimensions; scale: 1 inch to 9 feet: [1:108]. Signed: James Cunningham, 26 March 1896. Plan and despatch subsequently placed in Colonial Office file 7411, on the building of a central prison in Cyprus.
