2 items (originally enclosed with a letter from Governor Sir John Grant to the Colonial Secretary, 1 February 1869) extracted from CO 137/440. Jamaica. Railway map on 2 sheets, also showing rivers, estates, etc, adjacent to the line: (1) covering the part of the line already in operation, between Spanish Town and Kingston, and the branch line from the Angels; (2) covering the extension under construction between Spanish Town and Old Harbour. Scale: 1 inch to 20 chains. Compass indicator. Produced by Thomas Harrison, Government Surveyor, 8 February 1869; traced by F N Angell, 11 February 1869. Signed: J N Mann, Director of [?Works].
