1 item (originally illustrating notes on Karota pasture lands by British Consul E Owen-Rees) extracted from FO 371/12745 (folio 51A). Nicaragua: Zelaya District. 'Map of the Grazing lands of the Ten Villages (in Common) and that of Karota, had the lands been distributed in conformity with the protocol or Allotment list': also showing the Caribbean Sea, rivers, a lagoon, a railway and land claimed by inclusions. Reference notes to colouring and land claims. Scale: 1 inch to 3000 yards. Owen-Rees's notes were sent to the British Change d'Affaires, Managua, 23 February 1928; subsequently enclosed in Foreign Office file number A 1876: 'Central America-Grievances of the Indians and Creoles of former Mosquito Reserve', 17 March 1928; another map remains with the parent document.
