Description

1 item (originally accompanying despatch number 109 from Governor Sir John Peter Grant, Kings House, to the Earl of Kimberley, 8 June 1872) extracted from CO 137/464. Jamaica Irrigation. The Rio Cobre project. A plan shewing approximately the course of the canal and its branches': also showing Spanish town, Kingston, other towns, hills, rivers, harbours, bays, islands, marshland, parks, important buildings etc. Reference table. Scale: 1 inch to 80 chains [1 mile]. Compass indicator. Subsequently placed in Colonial Office file Jamaica 6621: 'Cost of the Irrigation Works', 28 June 1872.
