Plans and sections of proposed sheds for military use at Halifax showing: (1) the position of new sheds at the artillery park with existing sheds, barracks, out-buildings, water wells, surrounding streets, walls and trees; and (2) a shed to contain the guns and lumber for two carriage brigades with its position in the artillery park. Reference key on (1). Scales: (1) plan 1 inch to 30 feet, section 1 inch to 4 feet; (2) no scale shown. (1) drawn by John George Toler, Draughtsman, Royal Engineers Depot, October 1810. (1) signed by Captain G Nicolls, Royal Engineers. Originally accompanying letters (1) dated 9 October 1810 from Lieutenant General George Provost to Captain Nicolls; (2) dated 20 April 1808 from Commander James Maclauchlan, Royal Engineers, to Lieutenant General G Morse, Inspector General of Fortifications. Dimensions of sheets: (1) 54.5 cm x 60.5 cm; (2) 29 cm x 38 cm.
