Description

1 item (originally enclosed with a letter from the War Office to the Foreign Office, 16 April 1884) extracted FO 65/1205. Central Asia. Map of Russian territory (now in Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan). Scale: 1 inch to about 420 feet (calculated). Published by 'the official publisher of the Russian Government'. MS additions, pencil and coloured, showing an encroachment on the Afghanistan border. This map lacks the special seal expected on an official map.
