(1) Plan showing the position of the new repository block (east wing) in relation to the Rolls Building in Fetter Lane. An adjacent sewer and fence are also shown. (2) Plans and elevation of the Tower. Scales: 1 inch to 8 feet. (1) originally enclosed in a letter dated 5 July 1870 from T Duffus-Hardy to Aston S Ayrton MP, requesting the demolition of adjacent buildings for security reasons. (2) originally enclosed in letter dated 28 July 1870 from T Duffus-Hardy to James Pennethorne, concerning the conversion of the upper two floors of the Queens Tower for use by conservators. Dimensions of sheets: (1) 36.5 cm x 53 cm; (2) 52 cm x 54 cm.
