'Taranaki New Zealand 1879': map showing constabulary stations, Maori settlements, rivers, roads and place names. Reference table. Scale: 1 inch to about 4 miles. Compass indicator. Compiled under the direction of Thomas Humphries, Chief surveyor, Survey Office, Plymouth, April 1879; drawn by J M Kemp; photolithographed by A McColl, General Survey Office, Wellington, June 1879. MS additions, coloured, showing a proposed extension to the Maori reserve. The report concerned confiscated lands on the west coast and Waimate plains.
