Description

2 items (enclosures F and G to Governor Sir James Walker's letter, 24 July 1869) extracted from CO 23/196. Bahamas. 'Harbour of Nassau Island of New Providence. (Tracing from Admiralty chart No 1489) ...'. 2 maps showing the positions of HMS 'Favorite', HMS 'Royalist', gunboat 'Cherub' and steamer 'Salvador': (1) on the evening of 10 May 1869; (2) on 11 May 1869, 'when informations were being taken with reference to embarkation of Cubans'. Scale: 1 inch to about 1053 yards.
