North America: Newfoundland (now in Canada). 2 plans: (1) 'Plan of part of the town of St John's destroyed by fire on the 7th November 1817': showing the building where the fire commenced and the buildings ruined by the fire of 1816; (2) 'Plan of part of the town of St John's destroyed by fire on the 21st November 1817': also showing the areas burned on 7 November. Reference tables. Scale: 1 inch to 100 feet [1:1,200]. [Drawn by Captain] Richard Vicars, Royal Engineers. Dimensions: (1) 52 cm x 37 cm; (2) 23 cm x 30 cm.
