3 items, numbered 3-5 (originally illustrating a print of Richrath's report, 8 March 1858) extracted from FO 925/3266. South-eastern Europe: River Danube. 3 sheets of drawings relating to the improvement and enlargement of the Sulina Canal (now in Romania). (3) 'Commission Européenne du Danube. Profils longitudinaux et transversaux faisant partie du projet de correction et d'élargissement du canal de Soulina': sections and cross-sections. Scale: 6.5 inches to 100 feet [1:200]. (4) '... Partie superieure du Canal de Soulina avec une disposition differente de l'embouchure': plan and upper section, with a different view of the river mouth. Scales: plan: 1 inch to 1000 feet [1:12000]; horizontal section: 7.4 inches to 11000 feet [1:17838]; vertical section: 3.7 inches to 150 feet [1:480]. (5) '... Profils des épis d'alimentation'. Scale: 13.3 inches to 110 feet [1:100]. Sheet sizes: (3) 45 cm x 101.5 cm; (4) 62 cm x 95 cm; (5) 63 cm x 46.5 cm. Report and maps were enclosed in despatch number 24 from Major J Stokes, Royal Engineers, Danube Commissioner, 18 June 1858.
