2 items (enclosures to letter from Governor Wentworth concerning the boundary between New Brunswick and New England, 10 July 1795) extracted from CO 217/36. British North America: New Brunswick (now part of Canada); United States of America: District (now State) of Maine. 2 sketch maps. (1) Map of the area around Deer and Campo Bello Islands, showing land grants. Scale: 1 inch to 3 statute miles. (2) 'Sketch of the upper part of the Bay of Passamaquoddy with the principal Rivers emptying into it, and particularly the Main or Great St. Croix River, copied from a plan made by Coll. Lewis an Indian chief upwards of Seventy Years of Age, whose parents were born on that River and who passed the whole of his life on that River in the bay which receives it, done in the year 1784 - by C.M.Junior.' Scale: 1 inch to 1 league [1 inch to 3 statute miles]. Dimensions: (1) 32 cm x 41 cm; (2) 32 cm x 82 cm.
