Ottoman Empire: Dobrogea (now part of Romania): Danube Delta: Sulina branch. 'Commission Européenne du Danube. Sections longitudinales comparatives de la Barre de Soulina ...': longitudinal section of the dam, showing water levels as at July 1857; 11 March and 20 November 1858; 6 April, 19 June, 14 July, 30 August and 2 December 1859; and 2 and 29 March 1860. Reference notes. Horizontal scale: 6 inches to 1200 feet [1:2400]; vertical scale: 1 inch to 10 feet [1:120]. Based on surveys by R Hansford, under the direction of C[harles] A Hartley, Chief Engineer.
