Reference table; glossary to place-name elements; key to pronunciation. Compass indicator. Photographed from the air by the Royal Air Force, 1927; ground control by Captains E R L Peake and M Hotine, Royal Engineers; surveyed from the photographs by Geographical Section, General Staff, and by Ordnance Survey; submarine contours based on Admiralty Charts; published by the War Office, 1933; drawn and heliographed by Ordnance Survey, 1934; reprinted 1938-1940. 2 insets: map of Filfla island, scale: 1:31,680; key map to sheets 1 and 2; scale: 1:253,440. MS additions showing the distribution of light anti-aircraft regiments and artillery, 25 August 1943; MS reference table to guns. On sheet 81 cm x 101 cm.
