(1-2) 2 diagrams showing the level of water at Sulina: (1) 31 May 1864; (2) 20 June 1864; item 2 also showing a proposed extension of the south embankment; MS, coloured, on tracing paper. Item 2 signed: [Sir] C[harles] A Hartley, 23 June 1864. (3) 'Coupe et plan de l'extrémité des digues de Soulina (digue du nord) ...': printed, coloured, plan, showing depths below sea-level. (1) 21 cm x 35 cm; (2) 22 cm x 36 cm; (3) 22.5 cm x 38 cm. Originally illustrating prints of Hartley's reports to the European Danube Commission: (1-2) 25 June 1894 (Annex IV to Protocol CLXI of the Commission); (3) 14 April 1865.
