Sketch of a piece of iron found by Capt Collinson in the Arctic, presumed to be part of the shank of an anchor on Porter's principle, and considered by Dr Rae possibly to have been one of 3 left with Sir John Richardson's boat on the coast near the Coppermine River in 1848. Scale: actual size. Signed by Mr Price, Master Shipwright, 2 July 1855, Woolwich Yard. Originally enclosed in despatch no 999 dated 2 July 1855.
