1 item extracted from FO 93/4/6. 'Map of Uganda Protectorate'. Title amended in MS to read: 'Map of Uganda Protectorate To Illustrate Sir H. Johnston's Agreement with Kingdom of Uganda'. Base map published by the Royal Geographical Society, 1899. The many coloured MS additions show the Kingdom of Uganda as defined by the Agreement and divided into counties; countries previously tributary to the Kingdom of Uganda and thenceforward only tributary to the Protectorate; boundary of the Protectorate. There is a MS reference table to counties. Signed by Johnston. Agreement and map were originally enclosed in Johnston's despatch number 58 of 12 March 1900 (for which see FO 2/297). The area shown is now in Uganda, Kenya and Sudan.
