4 items extracted from WO 106/49A/5. 'Combined Map, (of part of Belgium and France)': 3 copies of a map covering the area between Vieux-Condé, Namur, Monthermé and Guise. Based on sheets from several different maps, varying in colouring and in the amounts of detail depicted; the resulting collage reprinted onto a single sheet; all three copies of this sheet printed at the Ordnance Survey Office, Southampton, 1913. Each item stamped: 'Secret'. Different MS additions, coloured, to each item, showing the positions [of the British Expeditionary Force, under the Wilson-Foch scheme, ?1914]. MS endorsements: (1) 'No 2 - Dispositions for night of 14th day preparatory to first march eastwards on 15th day'; (2) 'No 3 Positions on night of 15th day'; (3) 'No 4 Positions on night of 16th day'. (4) Original cover sheet.
