(1) Map showing principal buildings in Valletta and the surrounding area. Decorative perspective views of ships; decorative pair of dividers surmounting the scale bar. Scale: 8.7 cm to 5 [?Italian] miles [?1:76,032]. Copied from an original produced by Antonio Lafreri, Rome, 1551. (2) 'Verrissimo disegno del Porto di Malta con le sue forrezze': bird's-eye view of the siege by Ottoman forces, 1565, showing details of ships, armaments, fortifications and individual combats. Reference table. Scale: 1.2 cm to 100 paces. Traced from an original produced by Domenico Zenoi, Venice, 1565; [the original is in the British Library at reference: Maps C.7.e.2.(47.)]. (3) 'Disegno vero della nuova citta di Malta': outline plan of the fortifications at Valletta. Reference notes. Scale: 2.6 cm to 50 canne [1:4,032].
