Johnston's Agreement with Kingdom of Uganda': boundary of Uganda Protectorate, countries tributary to the Protectorate, and Kingdom of Uganda (divided into counties). Reference table and table of administrative counties. The area covered is now in Uganda, Kenya and Sudan. Scale: 1:2, 500, 000. Lithographed by Harrison & Sons, lithographers, St Martin's Lane, WC. (2) -(4) 3 copies of base map 'Map of Uganda Protectorate'. 'From a map accompanying Sir H. Johnston's despatch no 101 dated April 27th, 1900'. (2) 'Map of Uganda Protectorate to illustrate the average altitudes and the salubrity and insalubrity of each district. Map No 1'. IDWO 1485(b). (3) 'Map of Uganda Protectorate showing approximate rainfall and degree of navigability of lakes and rivers. Map No 2': distinguishes waterways navigable or unnavigable by small steamers. IDWO 1485(a). (4) 'Map of Uganda Protectorate showing relative density of the native population and settlements of Europeans. Map No. 3'. IDWO 1485(c). (2) -(4) all with reference table. Scale 1:1, 900, 800. Transferred with slight corrections from IDWO 1420, July 1900. The maps illustrate a print of Johnston's preliminary report on the Protectorate of Uganda, April 1900.
