['North West Europe 1:250,000']: map consisting of parts of 4 sheets of a map on multiple sheets joined; the north-western and north-eastern are, respectively: [Sheet 1] 'Folkes]tone - Boulogne', and Sheet 2: 'Lille - Ghent'; the collage covering the area between Faversham, in Kent, Ossendrecht, in the Netherlands, and Maubert-Fontaine and Clères, both in France, showing the nature of the terrain, place names, waterways and railways. MS additions, coloured, showing the British Expeditionary Force boundary as proposed by General Georges, the buried cable network, as existing and as under construction, and existing and proposed headquarters. A typescript reference table to the additions is affixed to the face of the map. The correspondence at the parent reference concerns proposed Anglo-French operations in the event of a German attack on Belgium.
