MFQ 1/67
1880
1 item extracted from FO 78/3080. Greece, Albania: 'Turco-Greek Frontier New Project. To accompany copy of Sir H. Layard's N o. 159 Feb y. 4 1880'. Map showing the existing (1880) frontier between Greece and territory now in Albania, and the frontier proposed by Bluhm Pasha to Captain Swaine, 3 February 1880. Reference table. Originally bound with Layard's despatch; for the maps originally enclosed with it (all now pasted onto a single sheet), seeFO 925/3222. Layard's despatch 159 is annotated 'Ask War Office to supply a small sketch map on which this line is to be marked' and stamped with Lord Salisbury's stamp, dated 14 February 1880. This map (MFQ 1/67) is presumably the map supplied by the War Office. The three maps originally sent are said in a note dated 15/2/11 to be 'In the Map Room, Turkey 117A.'.
