2 items extracted from FO 63/1437. (1) East Africa. 'Anglo-Portuguese Boundary in East Africa (Barue Section) Sheet 2'. Map showing the area between the Mazoe River and Mount Nyakala and Mount Inherama. The area shown is now in Mozambique and Zimbabwe. Scale: 1:250,000. Heliozincographed at the Ordnance Survey Office, Southampton, 1899. Orignally accompanying draft of Foreign Office despatch of 24 February 1902 to Sir H MacDonnell. (2) MS sketch map of the area now in Mozambique and Zimbabwe) between the Zambesi and Limpopo rivers showing the Manica and Barue sections of the Anglo-Portuguese Boundary. No scale shown. Originally illustrating translation by G S H Pearson of Note from the Portuguese Minister for Foreign Affairs of 25 October 1904, forwarded by Sir Martin Gosselin, British Ambassador to Portugal, 27 October 1904. Dimensions: (1) 48 cm x 42 cm; (2) 24 cm x 18.5 cm.
