Rough sketch map of Roughton, Norfolk, to show roads, Damgate Street with houses, ‘Rowton hall’, commons, West Heath, meadows, closes, gate, trees, hedges. Houses, hall, church, in simple perspective. No scale shown. Cardinal points added to particular features rather than for the whole map. Oriented to the north. Signed Robert Gerney (?). Endorsement: on label in late seventeenth-century hand 'No 43 Rowton Hall'. Apparently connected with a dispute over enclosure and subsequent loss of access to common, John Gryffyn and inhabitants of Roughton v Robert Wygmore, 2 Edward VI.
