Description

Lancashire. 'Wyresdale Forest': map to show the River Wyre and tributary, named fells, Abbeystead and other places denoted by houses and churches drawn in elevation. No scale shown. Cardinal points in border. Oriented to the south. Endorsement on label, in seventeenth century hand: No 27 Wyresdale'. Comparison with MPC 1/75 suggests that this is the work of John Lane (flourished c1580).
