Plan and section of '... the Garrison or Fort built on Canso Hill by order of the Hon[our]ble Sir William Pepperrell, Bart., Leut Genl. & &, A.D. 1745'. Reference table to buildings and defences. Scale: 1 inch to 20 feet. Compass indicator. Endorsed with the certificate of a justice of the peace of Suffolk County, Mass, Cornelius Waldo, stating that George Tollings, chief gunner at Canso, Captain Samuel Hatch, Captain Francis Bramham and Lieutenant Nathaniel Richardson swore severally to the accuracy of the plan between 21 November and 14 December 1749. The engineer responsible for construction was Captain Stansbury.
