City of London. Excise Office, Old Broad Street. 'The Honourable Commissioners of His Majesty's Excise. October 1829. Plan of proposed alterations and additions in the principal floor'. Room occupancy identified. Scale: 4.6 inches to 50 feet. Signed by William Herbert, surveyor of buildings. Proposed additions shown in red wash. Red ink additions show 'present' occupancy of certain rooms. Endorsements: 'Improvements of the Excise Office, London.' 'In 19190/[2]9'. 'Excise Office Improvements 1829'. Illustrating Treasury file no 19190/29, report of Secretary of Customs, which does not survive.
