'Carte de la Petite Tartarie Dressée par ordre de l'Imperatrice de toutes les Russies': map showing Russian operations between the Dnieper and Don Rivers (now in Russia and the Ukraine); line of forts barring entry into the Ukraine; line between Russian and Turkish (or Tartar) forces. Scale: 4.4 cm to 70 versts. Title on decorated oval tablet surmounted by crown and flanked by standards, bow, quiver of arrows, cannons, a kneeling (and perhaps bound) Tartar. Reference table in rectangle surmounted by crowned eagle, standards and helmet. Compass rose. 'Gravé d'après la copie de Petersbourg dressée par les Ingenieurs de sa Maj. l'Imperatrice de Russie. a Amsterdam chez Henry de Leth, a l'enseigne du Pêcheur.', In Trevor's despatch it is described as 'a New Mapp of the Seat [of War]; which has been made by Order of the Russian Court, & reprinted here [i.e. at The Hague] by that of their Ambassador'.
