Rough map of the British Isles and the coast of Europe from Norway to Brittany: 'Draught shewing the Limits proposed for the Space wherein Hostilities ought to have ceased at the End of Twelve Days ...'. Shows limits drawn by the British and by the French Commissaries. A notable feature of this map is the depiction of Denmark as an island. Enclosure to despatch of 6 April 1749 from Charles Allix and G Hinde, St Malo (British Commissaries appointed by the Peace of Aix la Chapelle), dealing with compensation for ships taken as prizes.
