Map entitled 'A true and lively description of his Ma ties Roade, the Downes, and his Highness's towne and Port of Sandwich; sheweing how commodious and necessary a new haven... would be'. Also shows the Kent Coast from the North to the South Foreland. Buildings drawn in perspective. Title in fretwork cartouche. Scale: 1 inch to about 1,400 yards. Compass indicator. Drawn by Robert Jager, Town Clerk from November 1640, at the instigation of the Corporation.
