Scale: 9.1 cm to 5 French leagues. Compass rose. Engraved by Hugues Picart. Sold by Jean Boisseau in Paris. Inset map of St Jean de Luz: 'Description Particulierre De La Baye ou Havre De S t. Jean De Lux': shows hills and trees; harbour (including part from which whalers set out), quays, defence works, churches, mill and other principal buildings; quarry. Reference table. Dimensions of quays given. Scale of inset: 3.9 cm to 600 paces. Compass indicator. Inset dimensions: 15 cm x 20 cm. Date taken from British Library Catalogue.
