Description

1 item extracted from SP 36/24. Chart of 'Harwich, Woodbridge and Handfordwater with the sands from the Nazeland to Hosely Bay,' Essex and Suffolk; soundings. Dedication in rococo cartouche, to Samuel Pepys, Secretary of the Admiralty, by Grenvil Collins, Hydrographer to the King, 1686. With marine symbols and view of naval battle. Scale: 3 inches to 2 miles. Compass star. Engraved by Herman Moll.
