Endorsed: 'Platt of [...] sent by Sir Thomas Smythe', who may be the Sir Thomas Smith (1513-1577), who was appointed Ambassador to France in September 1562. H M Colvin has suggested that this plan is of Le Havre; it was previously believed to be of Plymouth.
