2 items extracted from CO 417/89. (1) 'Route Map illustrating paper by the Bishop of Bloemfontein on the country between Inyati and the Zambezi (Compiled from Compass Observations)'. Scale: 1 inch to about 27 miles. Drawn by W Shawe, FRGS [Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society]. Printed by Turner & Shawe. Published for the Proceedings of the Royal Geographical Society, 1890. Coloured MS additions show 'Colquhoun's Concession' on borders of Portuguese territory. (2) 'The Country between Inyati and the Zambezi traversed by the Bishop of Bloemfontein...'. A MS map of the same area as (1) but with less detail. Dimensions: (1) 22 cm x 19 cm; (2) 24 cm x 21 cm.
