2 items extracted from CO 234/38. (1) 'Australia and the adjacent islands and seas between its Northern Coast and the Equator.' Admiralty Chart 2759a,1878. MS watercolour additions show Queensland Maritime Boundary including islands in Torres Strait. Also shows the 'Supposed Dutch Boundary' on the island of Papua-New Guinea. (2) Amended version of Admiralty Chart 2759a, 'Australia and the adjacent islands and seas between its Northern Coast and the Equator', to include the Talbot Islands within the Queensland Maritime Boundary. Both with compass indicators. Original map compiled by F J Evans in 1860; engraved by J & C Walker; first published 1862. The area covered includes the whole of Northern Australia and Papua-New Guinea. Dimensions: each sheet 61 cm x 98 cm.
