1 item extracted from CO 417/524. Sketch map showing the River [Linyanti] west of Kazungula (now in Botswana and Namibia) to 24°40' E. The map also shows quartzite and sand hills, place names, Batawana boundary. Signed H V Eason, Captain, B[echuanaland] P[rotectorate] Police, July 1912. Red ink additions show lines of latitude and longitude; geographical positions with authorities (Livingstone, Gibbons, Reid); Sekgoma's personal western limit; and proposed site of [Police] camp near Kavimba; initialled 'F.W.P., RC.' 20 May 1913. The map illustrated copy despatch of 20 May 1913 from [Colonel] F W Panzera, Resident Commissioner, Mafeking, to the High Commissioner, Cape Town, which was forwarded to the Colonial Office in the High Commissioner's despatch number 394 of 4 June 1913; the original despatch appears not to survive in DO 119.
