2 items extracted from CO 48/78. (1) 'Plan of the new projected Town... upon and near the Estates named Lanoe Rug & Roode Wal ...'. Block plan of the town of Worcester, Cape of Good Hope (now Cape Province, South Africa), marked out in lots, unnumbered, with a church in the centre. Scale: 1 inch to about 500 Rhijnland feet. Compass indicator. Notes on dimensions of lots, the church square, etc. (2) Plan of an unidentified building, possibly a drostdy, or magistrate's building. The building measures about 215 feet x 98 feet. Scale: 1 inch to about 15 feet. Signed by W Jones. 'A true copy of the original plan. A de Smidt.' Dimensions: (1) 32 cm x 43 cm; (2) 23.5 cm x 38 cm.
