4 items extracted from CO 209/205. 4 maps of Taranaki Province, New Zealand. (1) Map showing the area including Tapua, Rignarehu, Ketonetea, Tirolomoana, Hawera, Tangahoe, Kakaramea and Patea. No scale shown. Compass indicator. MS, coloured, on tracing paper. (2) 'Map of the Province of Taranaki, New Zealand' with reference note. Scale: 1 inch to 5 miles. Compass indicator. [By] F A Carrington, 3 December 1866. MS, coloured, on tracing paper. (3) 'Plan of the town and settlement of New Plymouth, New Zealand as surveyed up to the end of the year 1842'. The plan shows the suburban and rural sections and bears abstracts, reference table and notes. Scale: 2 inches to 1 mile. Lithographed, coloured, with many MS notes and additions dated 3 December 1866. Lithographed by Standidge & Co, London. Published by Smith, Elder & Co, Cornhill. (4) Map showing the same area as (2), with reference table and notes about military forces stationed at Opunaki, Warea and Stoney River. Scale: 1 inch to 4 miles. Compass indicator. MS, coloured, on tracing paper. Dimensions: (1) 30.5 cm x 57.1 cm; (2) 45.7 cm x 39.4 cm; (3) 50.8 cm x 76.2 cm; (4) 53.3 cm x 55.9 cm.
