Description

1 item (enclosure to a letter of 12 June 1849 from the Secretary of the Great Anglo-Pacific and Atlantic Ocean Junction Company to Earl Grey) extracted from CO 323/234 (f 315). Chart of parts of Panama and Colombia showing the course of the proposed Ship Canal from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean, along the course of the rivers Atrato, Naipi and Tupica, giving soundings. Scale: 1 inch to about 20 miles. Compass indicator, compass lines. Engraved by J W Norie & Co Leadenhall St, London.
