6 items extracted from CO 280/245 (folios 198, 207, 215, 216, 217, 236). Van Diemen's Land (now Tasmania) (1) Plan, section and views of Schouten Island, showing rock formations and coal deposits. (2) Section of the line of coast from the Whale's Head to South Cape Bay, showing rock formations and coal seams. Scales: 4 inches to 1 mile (horizontal); 1 inch to 500 feet (vertical). (3) Section showing the overlying beds from the vertical clay-slate to the fossiliferous limestone under the coal measure on the South Esk Valley near Fingal. (4) Section from the coal at Fingal where it crops out in the two creeks at A, to the Fingal Rivulet at B. (5) Section north by east from Mount Nicholas to south by west where the coal crops out in the Fingal Rivulet. (6) Richmond. Sections showing rock formations and coal deposits Brewers Valley - Jerusalem Road, near Richmond. Scales: 1 inch to 150 feet (horizontal); 1 inch to 50 feet (vertical). All 6 lithographed by - Hood. Dimensions of sheets: (1) 21.5 cm x 44.5 cm; (2) 21.5 cm x 49.5 cm; (3) 24.5 cm x 40 cm; (4) 21.5 cm x 54 cm; (5) 21.5 cm x 54.5 cm; (6) 21.6 cm x 49.5 cm.
