1 item extracted from CO 384/17 (folio 193). Quebec. 'Map of the Northern Bank of the St. Lawrence from the Riv. St. Maurice to the R. Saguenay reduced from a Plan by an Huron Chief ...'. 'Plan de Nicholas Vincent, Tsooenhohi (Grand Chief) Huron'. The map gives place names and notes on country. Scale: 1 inch to 4 leagues. Compass indicator. Reduced and drawn by I F Bouchette, 1827. Enclosure to Col. Cockburn's report of 12 September 1827. A note says that the area shown measures 60 leagues long and 40 deep. The scale according to the Huron chief should be accurate for the length, perhaps less so for the depth.
