Description

1 item (enclosure to Col Cockburn's despatch of 15 June 1827) extracted from CO 384/17. 'A Map of New Brunswick compiled from actual surveys and from Documents in the Surveyor General's Office by Anthony Lockwood, junr., late assistant Surveyor General of the Province.' Population table by parish and county. Scale: 1 inch to 6 miles. Compass indicator. Published by Anthony Lockwood, London and New Brunswick, 27 March 1827. A manuscript addition to the title reads 'shewing the granted and ungranted lands', and 'vacant good land' is coloured green. There are a number of lettered and numbered areas to which there is no reference table and there are also notes on the quality of land.
