3 items extracted from CO 267/18. Senegal: Gorée Island. (1) 'Plan of Gorée taken Dec 29th 1758 by a Squadron of His Majesty's Ships commanded by the Honble Augustus Keppel', showing defences, buildings, and 'negro' area. Scale: 1 inch to 200 feet. Compass indicator. (2) Elevation as observed from the point marked 'A' on the plan. No scale shown. 26 cm x 56 cm. (3) Elevation as observed from the point marked 'B' on the plan. No scale shown. The plan and views are endorsed as being enclosures to Lord Macleod's despatch of 10 May 1779 although the despatch mentions the views only. Dimensions of sheets: (1) 34 cm x 49 cm; (2) 26 cm x 56 cm.
