Description

1 item (enclosure to Lord Charles G Montagu's despatch of 27 July 1772) extracted from CO 5/394. 'A Map of Part of the Counties of Mecklenburg and Tryon lately added to the Province of South Carolina. By H. Mouzon, junr.' A reference table shows the varieties of Mile Trees on the provincial boundaries and boundaries of the Catawba Tract. Scale: 1 inch to 4 miles. Compass star. This map was produced during the determination of the South Carolina-North Carolina boundary and signed by the Surveyors and Commissioners for South Carolina.
