4 items (enclosures to War Office letter (Misc 3126) of 11 March 1859) extracted from CO 323/255. 'Map of the Gwalior Territory and adjoining Native States in Central India compiled from existing materials in the Office of the Survr Genl of India 1847.' Note on the compilation of the map and the use of recent trigonometrical surveys. Scale: 1 inch to 8 miles. 4 sheets. Copied in September 1848 at Calcutta and signed by Andrew S Waugh, Lt Col Bengal Engineers, Surveyor General of India. Lithographed and printed at the Topographical Depot, War Office, under the direction of Captain [Howard C] Elphinstone, RE with corrections to 1851.
