1 item (enclosure to Governor North's dispatch of 10 September 1802) extracted from CO 54/7. Ceylon (now Sri Lanka). 'Sketch of the Island of Ceylon with the Proposed Canal.' Reference table showing British territory and that of the King of Kandy, navigable parts of the canal, and part to be cut. Title in round cartouche. No scale shown. By G Atkinson, civil engineer, Colombo, 15 September 1802. The canal runs from Puttalam Lagoon near Chilaw south to about Kalutara.
