1 item (enclosure to Major General Gage's despatch no 22 of 6 January 1769) extracted from CO 5/87 (pp 83-85). Louisiana. A plan of New Orleans. Reference table to defences, buildings and gates. Scale: 1 inch to about 97 toises (600 feet). Compass indicator. Copied on 1 and 2 January 1769 by W Brasier from a drawing by Lieutenant P Pittman of the 15th regiment, engineer. This note appears below the compass indicator. 'NB. Notwithstanding it's respectable appearance here the Enceinte is composed only of a single Stockade'.
